Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – September 23, 2026 – Epiphan Video, a maker of professional AV hardware and cloud software for live production and lecture capture, today announced native Dante audio support for its Pearl family of video encoders. The capability is available now as part of firmware 4.24.6 for Pearl Mini, Pearl Nexus, and Pearl-2.
Native Dante support has been one of the most requested features from Pearl customers. Until now, bringing Dante audio into a Pearl system required an external dongle and an additional cable run. With this update, Pearl can receive and decode Dante audio directly over the network, removing that hardware and simplifying installation for integrators and in-house AV teams alike.
“Dante has been one of the most requested features from our Pearl customers for years, and we know a lot of teams have been waiting for this,” said Yusupha Touray, VP of Product, Epiphan Video. “Native support means they no longer need extra hardware to get Dante audio into Pearl, and it opens up a lot more flexibility in how they design their AV systems, whether that’s a lecture hall tied into a Dante network, a house of worship, or a multi-room event space.”
All Pearl users will need to activate a Dante license to use the new capability. Devices purchased before May 2026 (Pearl Mini, Pearl Nexus) or August 2026 (Pearl-2) will also require a separate Dante feature add-on. Epiphan will host a live stream on Wednesday, September 30 at 11 am EDT, where Epiphan’s Dan Wallace, Director of Marketing, and Ryan Haynes, Customer Success Lead, will walk through the new Dante support and answer questions live. The event is open to the public with no registration required and will stream on YouTube.
