Anchor Point Consulting is a trial support and litigation consulting firm that provides focus groups and mock trials to help lawyers refine their cases before heading to court. In their Baton Rouge facility, Anchor Point offers clients a unique opportunity to simulate jury trials and evaluate their case presentations.
To capture and analyze these sessions, Anchor Point needed a reliable, high-quality video and audio solution that could easily record and stream across multiple rooms. They chose Epiphan Pearl-2, the all-in-one video production system, to support their critical operations.

Equip your courts with world-class video technology
Epiphan’s high-performance hardware for video capture, streaming, and recording is just what you need to revolutionize how your legal institution does video.
Complex multi-room video capture with a streaming requirement
Anchor Point faced a challenge in providing an accurate and comprehensive recording of their mock trials and focus group sessions. With lawyers presenting in a mini-courtroom setup and jurors deliberating in separate rooms, they required a robust system capable of capturing multiple camera feeds and high-quality audio from various rooms simultaneously.
Additionally, they needed a solution that could stream the live feed from the rooms to an observation room for analysis. Anchor Point also required remote live streaming ability where other legal teams could view the proceedings and follow along.
Pearl-2 for all-in-one multisource video recording and streaming
To address these challenges, Anchor Point chose Epiphan Pearl-2. This compact yet powerful video production system allowed them to capture multiple camera feeds and audio inputs with ease.
Pearl-2 captured video from five cameras: three in the presentation room (focused on the lawyer and the jury box) and two in the deliberation room. For sound, the system captured high-quality audio from Shure ceiling mics in both rooms connected to an audio mixer. Pearl also captured the feed from the presentation room display wirelessly through an HDMI extender.
Pearl-2 made the recording and streaming process easy for Anchor Point. Local feeds were setup up on a multiviewer display through Pearl’s HDMI out. Live streaming was also set up to a private YouTube channel for remote viewing.
Local feeds were recorded and displayed on a multiview screen using Pearl’s HDMI output, while live streaming was set up via a private YouTube channel for remote viewers.

“It's super simple. I don't need this complex computer. Everything is done within the Pearl.”
The result: Simplified setup, expanded reach
Pearl-2 significantly simplified the recording and streaming process for Anchor Point. By adopting Pearl-2, the company enhanced its ability to run focus groups and mock trials efficiently and effectively.
Pritam highlighted how easy the Pearl-2 was to use: “I did all the installation myself, and it was straightforward. Everything is self-explanatory, and now we don’t need to hire external companies to handle audio and video for us.”
Moreover, Pearl-2’s portability allowed Anchor Point to expand its services. They can now take the system on the road, conduct mobile focus groups in different cities, and easily set up two-room mock trials in conference rooms and hotels.
“The Pearl makes it super easy to take everything mobile. It’s all in one, and we don’t have to deal with massive computers.”
As a result of this installation, Anchor Point is better equipped to help legal teams refine their cases. The comprehensive recordings from the courtroom and deliberation rooms allow lawyers to identify key moments, improve their presentations, and gain invaluable insights from juror reactions.
With Pearl-2, Anchor Point Consulting has transformed its AV operations, enabling seamless, high-quality video capture and streaming that elevates trial preparation and enhances service flexibility.
