Corporate conferences have undergone a rapid evolution over the past decade.
The early 2020s reshaped live production in fundamental ways. Virtually overnight, events moved from in-person to online, and the return to physical and hybrid formats brought new expectations: increased accessibility and frictionless access to high-quality content.
In a world that changes at such a pace, every piece of technology in the signal chain needs to be reliable, extensively configurable, and rich with features.
Solutions you can stake your reputation on
Built for pro AV, Epiphan’s rugged and reliable hardware encoders let you capture, stream, and record with confidence. Wherever your production teams take them, Epiphan Edge’s configuration and monitoring streamline management.
Reliability
This is why we choose Epiphan products at DCE Productions. When we plug in a Pearl system and start a stream or record, we know the device is going to work. Full stop.
Extensively configurable
Because we can build channels and recorders as needed with the ability to adjust basically every parameter, we can isolate cameras, graphics inputs, program feeds, and assign each its own encoding settings, naming conventions, file size and duration limits, unique streaming destinations via various streaming protocols, and more.
Feature-rich
Automatic File Upload (AFU) is a prime example of the kinds of features that keep our warehouse shelves stocked with Pearls. Using reusable configuration files, we can rapidly deploy Pearls with channels set up to automatically send recorded files to web-based object storage solutions. Depending on client preference, we can send files straight to an FTP server, or even S3 cloud storage. Using this feature not only strengthens the integrity of our file-keeping systems, but also automates and expedites our backup process, allowing us to give clients and audiences near-instant access to the content along the way.
And that’s just the beginning. Remote device access and control through Epiphan Edge, along with Zoom and Microsoft Teams ISO capture via Epiphan Connect, are among the capabilities that make these devices fixtures in our show kits.
These factors converge into devices that allow us to unlock a new level of engagement with attendees. We can take any input, stream it anywhere, send records anywhere, and do it all at the speed of our Internet connection.
In our new world where virtual-first solutions are the new expectation, versatility and reliability are the characteristics that will make or break your process, and by extension, the attendee experience.
At the end of the event, when our client is shaking hands with their audience and the house lights come back on, there’s no better feeling than knowing that our records are already backed up and ready for delivery.
