Diagnostic Image Capture
Medical organizations often find it difficult to obtain diagnostic-quality images due to multiple layers of image degradation that occurs during the capture and transmission of the data to storage devices or over networks.
Epiphan offers external, dual-mode (VGA & DVI) frame grabbers that can capture and broadcast diagnostic-quality images and videos from any device with a monitor and USB port.
DVI2USBEpiphan’s DVI2USB frame grabber solution: Captures high-quality VGA and DVI images without degradation. Does not require a PCI interface. Is designed specifically for medical applications. Visit the product page to learn more and to purchase. |
VGA2USBEpiphan’s VGA2USB frame grabber solution: Provides a low cost solution to capturing images from all VGA devices. Does not require external power source. Is designed for a wide variety of applications. Visit the product page to learn more and to purchase. |
VGA2EthernetEpiphan’s VGA2Ethernet frame grabber solution: Captures a VGA signal at extremely high resolutions and frame rates. Lets you use your existing network infrastructure to connect a distant VGA source to the target computer. Is designed specifically for precision industrial, military, and medical application. Epiphan's Frame Grabbers
for diagnostic image capture
Medical: Training Manuals
Situation: Actual patient information from diagnostic equipment is required to teach physicians and technicians on the proper interpretation of equipment images and data.
Solution: Using Epiphan's DVI2USB, instructors and manual authors can extract exact images from diagnostic equipment and reproduce them electronically or in hard-copy format.

Unique Device Screen Acquisition: Equipment Manual Preparation
Situation: Test & Measurement equipment is providing increasingly complex solutions in today's advanced technology industry. To maximize the functionality of these expensive devices and minimize customer support costs, manufacturers need to supply accurate and detailed instructions on all aspects of equipment functionality.
Solution: Using Epiphan's DVI2USB, instructors and manual authors can extract exact static images from test & measurement equipment and reproduce them electronically or in hard-copy format. This is also accomplished with no impact on the source equipment performance. With the addition of Epiphan's VGA recording technology, continuous images can be extracted to illustrate the variation in test & measurement results over virtually any timeframe.
Unique Device Screen Acquisition: Scientific Experimentation and Collaboration
Situation: Scientists are increasingly exploring new and complex fields of science. To maximize the effectiveness of this research, Scientists need to accurately record the results of their experiments for publication and collaboration. This collaboration may be local or world-wide.
Solution: Using Epiphan's DVI2USB, scientists can extract exact static images from experiment monitoring equipment and store them digitally or in hard-copy format. This is also accomplished with no impact on the performance of the experiment monitoring equipment.
Distant Screen Acquisition
Situation: A monitor or equipment with VGA output is located within a distance from the target computer onto which you would like to capture the VGA signal. This makes using a conventional PCI-based or USB-based frame grabber impossible, as there is no simple way to extend the source VGA cable to the target computer.
Solution: Using Epiphan's VGA2Ethernet connected through a simple Ethernet switch, you can use your existing LAN network infrastructure to extend the distance between the VGA source that is connected to the frame grabber and the target computer.
