KVM2USB 3.0 KVM App questions

I’m not sure if this is the right forum to ask about this, but anyway, I have a question about the Windows KVM App for KVM2USB 3.0. Is there some way to get it to size the window to exactly the size of the video signal, so that the image is not scaled at all (1:1)? Thanks!

Hello,

1:1 (no scaling) is the default behavior for the KVM App. Depending on the source though this may not always happen, for example, “non standard” or exotic resolutions can sometimes cause issues and we’re also aware of potential issues with Intel video chips in this regard.

You could always try using our Capture Config tool and defining a custom user mode, this doesn’t always work but might work in your specific circumstances:

Windows: https://www.epiphan.com/downloads/avio/EpiphanCaptureConfig-r40343-20171227.zip
OSX: https://www.epiphan.com/downloads/products/AV.ioConfig.r35522.dmg

Thanks for your reply! That probably explains why I didn’t get 1:1, when I first plugged in the KVM2USB the controlled computer was set to the wrong resolution so I changed it after the KVM App was up. I assume that’s how the window size got out of wack.

But, if the size is not 1:1 for whatever reason - you changed the resolution on the controlled computer, you just resized the app’s window, or whatever, is there some way to get it back to 1:1 again? I couldn’t find a way so I resorted to using various utilities to measure the window and size it so that the client area is exactly 1920x1080. That works, but it would be better if there was an option in the View menu or something that just sized it for you. Thanks again for your help!
