Canon consumer grade camcorder

I was told by B&H that none of the consumer model Cannon camcorders, such as my HF S200 will work with the X2 on any setting. Is this true? Any solutions?

Any camera that can output HDMI in 1080p or 720p should be able to work on the Webcaster X2. There are many Canon camcorders that can output progressive, such as the G20 and the R800. These work well with the Webcaster X2. We have a forum post where people report cameras tested successfully you might want to check out: https://www.epiphan.com/forum/t/list-of-cameras-that-play-nice-with-webcaster-x2/64

I can’t find anywhere officially listed the HF S200 specs what it outputs, but in the manual it says that it may not be compatible with DVI monitors which implies to me that this is interlaced output only. If this is the case then it would not work with the Webcaster X2 as the Webcaster requires a progressive signal.
