Epiphan Cloud documentation
Does Epiphan Cloud work with all my Pearl systems and LiveScrypt devices?
Epiphan Cloud is designed to work with Pearl Mini, Pearl-2, and LiveScrypt devices. Epiphan products that are discontinued, like the original Pearl system and Webcaster X2, are not fully supported on Epiphan Cloud and cannot be operated or managed using Epiphan Cloud.
Do my devices need new firmware to work with Epiphan Cloud?
To take full advantage of Epiphan Cloud’s features, Pearl-2 and Pearl Mini devices need firmware 4.13 or later installed. Register your device with Epiphan to be eligible for free firmware updates and don’t miss out on these great features and performance enhancements.
LiveScrypt’s firmware updates download automatically from the cloud when the device is connected to the Internet and are applied when you power cycle the device. Watch for a firmware update notice on your device screen.
Can I still use Epiphan Cloud to remotely login to my device?
Yes. The remote login feature is included with any Epiphan Cloud Pro plan.
How do Epiphan Cloud and AV Studio differ?
Epiphan Cloud is a cloud-based device management platform that enables remote teams to control, manage, and perform rescue troubleshooting for their fleet of Pearl systems and LiveScrypt devices. It includes enhanced device management features like the Devices Dashboard for comprehensive health monitoring, email alerts, batch operations, and suggested troubleshooting tips just to name a few.
Anyone can get a free Epiphan Cloud account or upgrade to a Pro plan. Epiphan Cloud Pro plans support enhanced features, like remote login. The remote login feature enables access to the cloud-based Admin panel and Epiphan LIVE for full administrator control of your Pearl systems.
AV Studio was primarily a cloud-based, post-production tool designed for quick turn around of recorded live events with low-touch editing features. The free plan supported remote login access to the cloud-based Admin panel and Epiphan LIVE.
