PALO ALTO, Calif. August 25, 2014 – Epiphan Systems announced a major firmware update for all of its video streaming and recording devices that enables them to encode audio/video content in RTMP, the protocol of choice for many major content delivery networks. Previously Epiphan devices supported RTSP, FLV, ASF, and MPEG, but not RTMP. This new firmware release, available via free download, adds RTMP to the set of supported protocols.
