Will not run on battery power

I tried running the x2 on battery. I get a slow blinking light but it will not boot. The voltage is OK. What is wrong?

Can you tell me what USB adapter you are using and what the USB battery model is?

In our testing we have found that adapters other than the Adafruit one we suggest have much thinner gauge wires within causing power issues. So best to use this one: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2697

Also for the battery bank, it is important that this is able to output adequate current. Ideally this would be 3A per port, but it should at a minimum be 2.4A per port. 3A would be required if you want to use all Webcaster X2 features though, like USB webcam support, 1080p streaming, etc.

Yes I got the Adafruit product. I am sure it is the battery. It must not be putting out enough amps. I’ll get a better battery and give it another try.

What I did was buy this from amazon. It showed what the Webcaster was using then found a battery that met that demand.

The battery I went with was this guy. I have had zero issues with it.

That battery looks great, lots of capacity and it lists my recommended specs of 2.4A output per port and greater than 3A total.
