What is the serial command for Start-Stop Streaming

Hi Team,

We using a Crestron controller to control the Pearl-2 just to start/stop recording and streaming. I notice after the new version of Crestron Simpl+ installed the module could not compiled any more. I need use serial control to control the unit.

In the online menu, i didn`t find the Serial command to start/stop streaming on particular layout on channel. I just need a simple start/stop streaming on Channel 1.

Also just want to confirm Recording command:
“START. + LF” to start record on Room A
“STOP. + LF” to stop record on Room A
On Pearl-2, we named Room A for Channel A.

Please confirm if the command is correct. Thanks

JK

Hello,

RS-232 commands would follow the logical channel number for start/stop functions. In the Web UI for Pearl, it will always list the logical channel before the name.

RECORDING: - if using Channel 1 as the example -
START.1
(or SET.1.rec_enabled=on
SAVECFG)

STOP.1
(or SET.1.rec_enabled=""
SAVECFG)

Thanks, What about the Streaming?

Streaming command for RS-232 (assuming Channel 1)

SET.1.publish_enabled=on
SAVECFG

Then to turn off:

SET.1.publish_enabled=
SAVECFG

It’s important to note that the RS-232 command only triggers the first logical stream
