Roland V-1HD Video Switcher

Has anyone tried using the Roland V-1HD video switcher with the Webcaster X2? Any issues?

As long as you can get the switcher to output a 1920x1080 or 1280x720 resolution signal in a Progressive format then it should work. The Webcaster X2 requires a 1080p or 720p signal, standard definition or interlaced signals will not work. Also the signal would need to be unencrypted, as it does not have the ability to decrypt HDCP encrypted signals. Though this wouldn’t be a problem with just cameras.

The V1-HD does both 720p and 1080p so it should work.

I ended up purchasing the Roland V-1HD Video Switcher and used it for the first time live today with the Webcaster X2 to YouTube. Worked great. Sill have a few issues, such as figuring out the best audio level, but it worked and that is the important thing. Using to two Sony HDR-CX260v camcorders for the cameras.
