HDMI Splitter or something different?

I’ve read the previous discussion about using an HDMI switcher to bring in additional sources to the HDMI in. My question is something slightly different.

I would like to take the HDMI output of my Canon XA35 and run it through a 1x2 HDMI splitter. One output going to the Webcaster X2 and the other output feeding our equipment going to our internal cable tv network.

Any recos for this type of gear?

Hi Matthew,

Are you looking for a recommendation on a 1x2 HDMI splitter? If this is the case we often use Monoprice splitters ourselves as they are a very reasonable price, for example something like this: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=18785 But any splitter should work for such a setup, the most crucial thing would be to make sure that the splitter is powered. An unpowered device can reduce signal strength which can cause issues.
