What would happen if a DVI-I source was connected that was sending both an HDMI signal and a VGA single simultaneously? I’m in the logistical planning phase of a project where this is relevant.
Hmm, that shouldn’t be possible from any normal source. As such we have never tested this. It certainly isn’t possible to capture both, I would recommend isolating to just the one signal you would want to prevent any issues here.
I assume a DVI-I source device decides what to send based on EDID. I guess that’s why I couldn’t find break out cables for sending VGA and HDMI from the same port. Guess I’ll use separate ports on my project.
