I got this audio inserter off Amazon, as recommended by Epiphan. But it’s seriously degrading the HDMI signal from my camera. Is the unit defective or has anyone else seen the noise this adds to the signal. I have all new 2.1 HDMI cables and I have isolated all power supplies for each device.
Return the Blackbird. I am using a cheap video grabber with mic input and the sound is fine.
Like a videogame capture device?
Yeah… but never mind that… UPDATE. Audio on the video grabber was not going in to the stream. It was picking up audio from the Logitech 920 webcam. Just verified that.

Exchanged the Blackbird, the new one works fine!
Glad to hear it - I just re-tested my Blackbird, seems to be working fine. Maybe you just got a bad unit.
