VGA2PCIe
Product Overview
Epiphan Systems’ VGA2PCIe™ is an internal PCI express-based frame grabber capture card designed for users that require high precision industrial VGA capture using an internal solution. The VGA2PCIe can capture VGA streams at resolutions of up to 1920×1200 in a 24-bit palette, and is able to achieve a maximum capture rate of 85 frames per second. Unlike other solutions, the frame rate of the VGA2PCIe is not dependent on the content of the captured signal, which means that a minimum 35fps capture rate will be achieved regardless of the input source.

VGA2PCIe Key Features
- PCI Express professional internal video capture card
- Capture output from a VGA source with resolutions up to 1920x1200
- 35 to 85 frames per second capture rate
- Drivers for Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
- Interfaces to multiple 3rd party applications compatible with DirectShow on Windows, QuickTime on Mac OS X and V4L (Video4Linux) on Linux
VGA2PCIe Form Factor
VGA2PCIe fits into a ×1, ×4, ×8 or ×16 PCIe 1.x slot and incorporates the same capture technologies as the acclaimed VGA2USB Pro and VGA2Ethernet external frame grabbers. Furthermore, 128MB of on-board buffer RAM ensures not a single frame is skipped.

VGA2PCIe - Epiphan Software Tools and 3rd Party Applications, Interfaces, SDK
Epiphan customers can download free Epiphan Software (Download Software ).
The VGA2PCIe capture card driver is fully compatible with DirectShow in Windows, Video4Linux in Linux, and QuickTime in Mac OS X, meaning that it can be used in conjunction with any third party software that allows the use of an external camera as a video input. Alternatively, the VGA2PCIe software, available as a free download, supports not only the viewing and saving of the VGA signal as an image or video, but also allows the user to:
- Setup an automated or periodical "save" command
- Send the VGA output to an attached paper printer
- Broadcast and share the VGA signal to the Internet
- Archive the VGA output in a variety of formats, including JPEG, PNG, BMP, AVI, and MP4
An SDK, API, and examples are available free of charge for those users wishing to integrate the VGA2PCIe capture card into their custom applications.
VGA2PCIe lends the possibility to a user of being able to capture high-quality industrial video.
