The DVI2PCIe AV Kit is currently an Early Access Product(EAP) for customers , preferably OEM developers that want to have a head start on their projects before the product is generally available on all supported operating systems.

The hardware is commercial grade, and the firmware is going through final testing and porting to various operating systems.

The software and driver availability during EAP is platform dependent - please see table below.

This product is field upgradeable and its firmware and software updates will be published on the Epiphan website or automatically pushed through automated driver updates.

Connecting the DVI2PCIe A/V Kit

The DVI2PCIe A/V Kit comes with multiple full and low profile brackets designed to accomodate any setup. The S-Video/3.5mm audio line-in and ¼" TRS line-in daughter boards connect to the DVI2PCIe using a supplied ribbon cable. The daughter boards can be interchanged and connected simultaneously.

Integration with Applications - Epiphan Capture Tool and DirectShow, QuickTime, Video4Linux Applications

Once the DVI2PCIe A/V Kit is installed and the software upgrades have been applied, the new s-video/composite port will be presented as a second frame grabber to the capture system. The Epiphan Capture tool and other applications can then connect to the choice of frame grabber on board of the DVI2PCIe + AV Kit. Multiple instances can be running in parallel capturing from both frame grabber connected the DVI port and the S-video port.
