Epiphan Systems launches Windows Vista support for VGA2USB PRO

Epiphan Systems has launched Windows Vista support for one of the most advanced and versatile frame grabbers in the world – the VGA2USB PRO. VGA2USB PRO boasts capture resolutions of up to 2048x2048 with a 30 frame per second capture rate. What’s more, VGA2USB PRO, with the aid of its cutting-edge pre-compression algorithm, allows for completely lossless 100% frame transfer.

VGA2USB PRO can capture images from any VESA-compatible VGA source and output them on a Windows, MAC OS, or Linux machine equipped with USB 2.0. All recent versions of Microsoft Windows are supported, including Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Additionally, 64-bit processor support is included with Windows Vista. Output can be interpreted in Windows through the DirectShow API and the VGA2USB PRO device appears as an attached camera in Windows. VGA2USB software is included with the driver installation, allowing you to easily capture individual frames as well as AVI movie files. The VGA2USB software also allows you to easily set capture intervals, capture time, and make adjustments to the output image, such as brightness/contrast.

Besides being able to record images from any VGA source into a variety of image as well as movie formats, VGA2USB PRO also has the capability to broadcast pictures over the Internet. A trial is included with every VGA2USB PRO, and extended broadcast licenses can be purchased separately.
