Global Outsourced Information Provider Reaches Around the World With Epiphan Systems Solution

Ensuring that global companies have access to the information and documentation they need, when they need it, is Gilmore Global's business. And that often entails travel to various customer sites, as well as conference calls, presentations and demonstrations involving participants from around the globe.

To effectively interact with its customers, Gilmore Global often relies on conferencing technologies. But, says Matt Mozer business development manager, "The conferencing and collaboration solutions out there tend to have far more features than we need, and they are complex and expensive to use."

"Having to notify the collaboration provider of the number of users in advance and pre-uploading presentation slides to the server" were two hurdles that Gilmore Global experienced with hosted services. Mozer adds, "Some companies have special technical people just to set these sessions up!"

Today, Gilmore Global uses Epiphan System's Show-See web presentation and collaboration solution, which is as easy to use as opening a web browser. Gilmore Global regularly uses the web-based product to give presentations and demonstrations of its e-commerce and business intelligence tools to dispersed groups of participants. As an example, Mozer describes using Show-See "to present to a group of people that included remote participants in San Francisco, Vancouver and the U.K."

Mozer, who calls Show-See "idiot-proof", sings the technology's praises. "You don't have to be a technical person to use it, so it reduces the strain on an organization's resources. It's incredibly fast to use as well, and the cost-per-user of the solution is significantly lower."
